The Caddis came off in force this weekend with heavy hatches from Springdale to Mill Creek. From all reports it seems the heaviest activity is still between Mallard’s Rest and Livingston though the river fished very well throughout the Paradise Valley.
With a continued forecast of cool nights and day time temps in the mid 50′s, the Yellowstone should stay in good shape through the weekend. This should be an incredible week of fishing as the river is in great shape and the bugs should continue to come off in good numbers. Don’t forget to have some March Browns and Blue Winged Olives in your fly box as the trout are still keyed in on them as well.
